A Royal Wedding Experience in the Heart of Saxony

Welcome to Schloss Proschwitz - a privately owned castle with centuries of heritage, still run today by Prince and Princess zur Lippe, whose noble family roots date back to German high aristocracy. This extraordinary estate near Meissen combines cultural tradition with elegant hospitality, offering a truly majestic setting for international wedding celebrations. As one of Saxony’s most prestigious wineries, Schloss Proschwitz is known for its award-winning wines, cultivated on the castle’s sun-drenched slopes.

Couples who choose Schloss Proschwitz are invited to immerse themselves in a fairytale – whether with an elegant garden ceremony, a refined dinner in the grand salons, or dancing under the high ceilings of the historic halls. The venue offers flexible use of indoor and outdoor spaces, ideal for multi-part wedding programs with character and flow.

Thanks to the excellent in-house banquet team, every event is professionally coordinated yet warmly personal. The freedom to choose your own catering partner gives you full creative control, while optional shuttles from Dresden or Meissen ensure guests arrive in comfort and style.

Perfect as the highlight of a multi-day destination wedding, Schloss Proschwitz delivers a rare combination: royal flair, regional authenticity and event possibilities that leave no wish unfulfilled.

At Schloss Proschwitz, Persian traditions met vineyard elegance. To fulfill the bride’s wish for an outdoor Sofreh Aghd and dinner under the stars, we designed a custom set-up with stretch tents and magical lighting.

The Sofreh Aghd honored deep symbolism and the Persian mama’s beloved rice dish became a heartfelt highlight.

When night fell, the bride and groom took up their instruments – turning a quiet moment into a celebration. 120 guests danced under the stars in a real-life fairytale.
