A Baroque Jewel for Culture-Loving Couples

In the heart of Dresden’s historic city park lies one of the city’s oldest baroque masterpieces: the Palais Großer Garten. Built as a pleasure palace in the late 17th century, this architectural gem offers a refined and intimate setting for couples who seek more than just a beautiful backdrop – but a place with history, soul and cultural significance.

Ideal for ceremonies and exclusive celebrations, the palace opens its historic garden - facing hall for up to 50 guests. Surrounded by fountains, sculpted hedges and French-inspired symmetry, the venue feels like a scene from a European painting.

For private dinners or elegant banquets with up to 250 guests, the upper floor of the palace – the Festsaaletage – reveals richly restored salons filled with stucco, frescos and historic detailing. This space is not made for large-scale events, but rather for celebrations with grandeur and intention. It requires a special kind of planning sensitivity – one that honors the building’s character and heritage.

The Palais Großer Garten is not a typical event location. It’s a place for couples who value architecture, meaning, and atmosphere – a place where every detail reflects care, history and the uniqueness of the moment.

Rustic brick arches line a historic hallway with exposed architectural details, pendant lights, and concrete floors.

At MyCastleWedding, we understand what it takes to bring this space to life: precise timing, respectful logistics and a deep appreciation for cultural venues.

Florence and Dieter’s story brought Africa and Europe together in a celebration unlike any other. After the groom was welcomed and tested through traditional Kenyan rites, he brought his bride - a true Kenyan goddess - to the Palais, where she arrived in a veil so long it seemed to float into eternity.

Surrounded by a sea of guests dressed in vibrant African colors, the celebration became a breathtaking fusion of cultures, traditions and joy - a wedding that was not just seen, but deeply felt.
